Senior Project Manager - Civil Site Development Thomas & Hutton is a growing, well-established professional services firm providing consulting services throughout the southeast. Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a Senior Project Manager - Civil Site Development in Mount Pleasant, SC. The position requires a strong understanding of civil site design and development with previous experience working with water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure design projects. Previous experience producing plans and working with private clients in a consulting environment required. This role requires regular interaction with our clients. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required. Working knowledge of Civil 3D software required. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and P.E. or ability to obtain P.E. license required. Typical Duties:
  • Business development activities, including client management.
  • Proposal preparations and fee development.
  • Develop and lead the execution of business and marketing plans.
  • Visit clients, job sites and consultant offices as needed to support project and business development needs.
  • Monitor scope, schedules and budget for projects and business unit.
  • Managing engineering work and interface with other disciplines as needed.
  • Create scope of work for projects.
  • Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas.
  • Typically handles multiple projects for multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Supervising engineers and technicians.
  • Tracks projects in Vision/ Microsoft project with intermediate/advanced skill.
  • Actively participates in civic and professional organizations.
Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Skills:
  • Extensive experience in the design of public and private projects.
  • A successful track record of project management, including development/management of scopes, schedules and budgets.
  • Previous experience managing and mentoring a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working experience with Autocad, preferably Civil 3D.
  • Business development skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Understanding of Business Financial Information .
