Directs Technology Services operations and services, which includes help desk operations, campus servers, local and wide area network operations, web services, telecommunication services, applications programming, technology training and documentation, academic technology services (computer labs and interactive video classroom operations), technical consulting, and audio/visual operations.

1. Provides leadership, consultation, and expertise to the university community regarding information technology operations and services.


2. Directs the operations, finances, and staff of the Technology Services department.


3. Develops and implements the departmental budget.


4. Directs the design, development, and implementation of computing, telecommunications, and ITV operations.


5. Conducts cost analysis and directs the procurement of hardware, software, and technology services for the university.


6. Provides short- and long-range planning of technology services and cost analysis reports.


7. Develops goals and objectives consistent with the agency strategic plan, and develops and prepares the institution�s Information Resources Strategic Plan.


8. Directs the provisioning of technology services and projects to the university community.


9. Represents the university at UH System and other UH campuses committees concerning information technology. Coordinates with other university departments to accomplish inter-departmental tasks and use of technology. Develops and implements computer and technology policies and procedures. Performs other job-related duties as required.
