The Zoetis NextGen ERP program is a multi-year, cross-functional initiative to modernize our enterprise resource planning technology and transform our business processes. The NextGen ERP US Indirect Tax Lead will serve as a key member of the NextGen ERP project tax team and report to the NextGen ERP Tax Lead. From global design through deployment, this individual fills a critical role, partnering within our Finance workstream and others across Zoetis to deliver a transformed business process and technology landscape.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA, ensuring tax compliance and seamless integration of tax requirements.
Responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for ensuring that the indirect tax functionalities within the S/4HANA system for US are properly configured and aligned with tax compliance requirements.
Oversight concerning configuring and testing tax-related functionalities within the S/4HANA system and tax determination solution.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including finance, Zoetis Tech & Digital, and tax, to gather requirements and design solutions for indirect tax processes within the S/4HANA system.
Collaborate with Solution Integrator (SI) consultants, to ensure compliance with US tax regulations and industry best practices.
Provide guidance and support to end-users during the implementation phase, including training on indirect tax processes and functionalities within the S4HANA system if required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or tax required or relevant job experience.
Minimum 8 years professional experience in US indirect taxes
Familiarity with tax reporting, master data management, and taxability drivers in order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes (previous S/4HANA and tax engine implementation experience would be a plus)
Strong knowledge of US indirect taxes and tax determination systems/processes, and ability to translate strategies into financial concepts
Ability to conceptualize complex issues, processes or procedures and reach standardized, best practice solutions
