Position: Medical Records Director

Location: Sacramento, CA

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of all medical records in accordance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.


• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of medical records through proper documentation practices.


• Supervise and train staff members responsible for medical records maintenance and retrieval.


• Implement and maintain electronic health record systems and other technology solutions for efficient record-keeping.


• Collaborate with healthcare providers, administrators, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with record-keeping standards and protocols.

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred


• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical records management, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility setting.


• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and healthcare documentation standards.


• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical records software.


• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
