We are seeking a Home Loans Sales Assistant for the NOLA Home Loan Processing Department.

The Home Loans Sales Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional experience working with our members and vendors to advance loans from application through to closing. This position will collaborate with Mortgage Loan Officers; Home Loan Processors and San Antonio peers to acquire all required documentation and vendor items needed to complete a loan file. This will involve contacting members every 48 hours after initial contact, chasing loan conditions, and downloading supporting documents.

Highlights:



  • Review pipeline for new loan application files

  • Collaborate with loan officer to assess outstanding documents needed for initial review

  • Contact member for the initial introduction and begin requesting items for conditional loan approval, all communication (telephone, email) documented in the conversation log

  • Advise Loan Officer when all supporting documents are received for Loan Officer review, validation, and submission for initial loan approval

  • Keep abreast of changes in policy, procedure, guidelines, and regulations applicable to the Credit Union and the mortgage industry

  • Maintain knowledge of industry regulations, trends, and products


Experience:


    Required



  • 1 year of experience in sales and/or processing (residential loan lending)

  • 1 year of experience in a Sales Assistant role

  • General knowledge of mortgages


    Preferred



  • Working knowledge of Encompass


Education:


    Required



  • High School diploma or equivalent


    Preferred



  • College degree


Licenses & Certifications:


    Required



  • Registration as Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry


    Preferred



  • NMLS registered
