Job Summary

The Account Clerk 2 is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the Business Office. This role involves processing and maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate and timely accounting practices.

Job Duties

• Process receivable sources for institution as cashier, including scholarships/grants.


• Monitor, inspect, and prepare student accounts for refunds.


• Maintain, scan, and organize official student accounting records.


• Assist with account reconciliation, adjustments, and billing. Conduct payment outreach and answer incoming calls and emails.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in accounting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Ability to problem solve and handle a variety of complicated assignments simultaneously.
Ability and willingness to work extended hours to assist with peak times and financial opening/closing.
Ability to work cooperatively with others and provide customer service in alignment with policies and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
