Role Summary

The Cigna Group has an exciting opportunity for a strategic and motivated communications professional to join our Executive Communications team. This key role will support a range of communications activities - from writing to presentation development - for the company's senior leaders.The successful candidate will be experienced in the preparation of strategic communications plans, as well as tactical execution, including talking points and messaging, short speeches, presentations/graphics materials, the creative use of new and existing channels, and video treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and align a strategic communications plan that helps advance key business/function goals/needs in support of enterprise growth and impact.


• Lead a team of communicators to tactically execute the communications plan, adapting/adjusting as needed based on data/metrics.


• Contribute to enterprise executive communications strategy.


• Provide strategic counsel to communications leadership, as well as business/functional leadership.


• Monitor results of communications programs/strategy, using specific metrics to track progress and insights for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related discipline and at least 8-10+ years of clearly related experience;


• Demonstrated skill in writing and editing C-suite or senior executive communications for large organizations, with the ability to convey complex information in clear, compelling ways;


• Strong grammar skills;


• Comfort and skill in graphics and presentation design;


• Interest and experience in conducting research;


• Exceptional attention to detail;


• A proven willingness and ability to work quickly in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment;


• Strong work ethic and positive attitude;


• Ability to work with a high level of independence as well as collaboratively as part of a team;


• Demonstrated executive presence; ability to provide coaching, new ideas, sensitive feedback and real-world lessons learned to leaders at all levels;


• Portfolio of samples (written and graphics) will be required;

Position based in Bloomfield, CT, St. Louis, MO, WAH location

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 107,900 - 179,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
