NOTE: This is an overnight shift (Thursday - Sunday) from 5:00pm to 3:30 AM with potential to work 3 to 4 twelve hour shifts if needed (6:00pm to 6:00 am). The position should be open to work at our off-site laboratory that is within quick driving distance from our Reymet Laboratory.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of 10 laboratories servicing air, water, soil, and toxicology testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.
Preparation and analysis of samples in our Wet Chemistry Laboratory and our Metals Laboratory.
Analyzing samples on ICP-MS independently - ability to learn or having experience with ICPMS is crucial
Analysis of samples on ICP, IC, UV-Vis, or other benchtop analysis
Ability to use laboratory support equipment such as pipettes, graduated cylinders, analytical balances, etc is a plus
Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment
Determining the volume of samples
Cleaning of laboratory glassware
Maintaining clean laboratory areas
Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
Comply with Enthalpy's Quality Assurance Program and other policies
Comply with Enthalpy's Health and Safety Plan
Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
YOUR EXPERTISE & SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
2 years of relevant experience (academic or professional) preferred
Preferred Skills
Experience working in a high-paced testing laboratory environment
An Analyst I will be able to perform much of their work independently, but needs direction from a Group Leader or more senior analyst to execute most effectively.
Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
Must be flexible in work schedule (including Saturday) and able to work overtime
Well organized and have an attention to detail
Good organization and communication skills
