Summary:

Tetra Tech's Helena, MT office is currently seeking an Environmental Engineering Intern that is currently enrolled in a college program studying civil or environmental engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with Principal and Project Engineers, Scientists, and Project Managers on a variety of environmental remediation, water resources, civil construction projects, and mining projects. Project work will support various offices in the intermountain west including Billings, MT; Bozeman, MT; Boise, ID; and Salt Lake City, UT.

Your Role:

• Environmental sampling (air, soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water).
• Construction oversight and Construction QA/QC.
• Installation of remediation systems.
• Environmental data compilation, review, and analysis.
• Support project reporting.
• Strong problem solving, time management, and verbal communication skills are required.
• The position requires travel, typically related to environmental sampling, drilling, and civil construction oversight.

Qualifications:

• Current college student studying civil or environmental engineering.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 40lbs.
• Ability to travel and perform field work (approx. 50-75% of travel required).
• Proficiency with MS Office products including Word and Excel.
• A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Target salary range: $18.00 / hour to $20.00 / hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
