PRIMARY FUNCTION :

The primary function for this position will include assisting with the staging, locating and coordination of EPG Field Service parts orders for pick up. Effectively utilize and maintain the facilities and equipment maintained for use directly related to parts inventory. This position is responsible for knowing and consistently performing all warehouse functions, helping achieve standards of performance, and security of parts inventory.

PARTS EXPEDITOR


  • •Locate, scan, track, and stage Garner Field Service parts orders
  • •Verify parts pulled match what is on packing slip
  • •Manage flow of Technicians coming to pick up parts
  • •Assist Field Technicians with locating parts for jobs, verifying they have all their parts, and loading parts in Service truck
  • •Process any returns the Technicians bring back to the proper service call following return process in GPAX.
  • •Maintain good housekeeping and organization of pick-up area

WAREHOUSE

  • •Guarantees all receiving, storing and distribution activities are conducted in a professional manner and kept within warehouse policies.
  • •Ensures all orders are processed for delivery or pick-up promptly and efficiently on the day of receipt.
  • •Maintain shop parts order fulfillment and delivery time within 20 minutes (per page) of receipt.
  • •Makes certain all incoming parts are processed properly, loaded and on-record on the date of receipt.
  • •Process all returns daily in parts return box to include placing returned parts back in correct bin location.
  • •Conduct daily bin count listing each morning before warehouse becomes fully operational.
  • •Review and work all reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • •Identify all inventory discrepancies and report them to the parts manager.
  • •All freight charges (inbound/outbound) are billed accurately to customer or internal account.
  • •Maintain clean and orderly appearance of warehouse to include sweeping floors and aisles once per day, all non-reusable shipping materials are disposed of daily and loading dock is straight with minimum material blocking access for forklift operation.
  • •Assist with securing building each afternoon by ensuring all doors and gates are locked to minimize inventory loss and ensure accountability of parts inventory.
  • •Perform daily forklift inspection, annotate checklist and identify safety hazards to reduce incidents in the warehouse

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Education :

High school graduate

Work Experience :

At least two years' work-related experience

Physical :

Able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb and lift.
Able to routinely lift and carry parts for short distances weighing up to thirty-five pounds without aid or assistance
Able to see and hear in order to operate warehouse equipment (i.e. forklifts, sweepers, pallet jacks, etc.)

Other :

Must be "keyboard" literate to adequately learn and use the GPEC parts computer system in a proficient manner. Must be able to clearly communicate via the telephone and in person.
Must be proficient in computer function utilizing Word products and become proficient with other company software products.
