Job Description:

Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Director of Product Management located in our Kimberton, PA Headquarters.


Job Summary


Product managers are experts in customer needs and own the product roadmaps which will solve those customer needs. Product Managers raise the bar on traditional product management by taking a "business manager" approach to their product category. Product Managers actively build their product category - partnering with sales, marketing, sourcing, and operations - by analyzing monthly category revenue and margin performance, sales pipelines, customer needs and market trends to develop industry leading short- and long-term product roadmaps, product support and pricing that drives short and long-term revenue and margin growth.


This position will define the product management strategy in alignment with leadership's strategy. This position will lead a team of product managers and specialists to execute product management strategy and initiatives.


Duties and Responsibilities:


* Define Product Management strategy in alignment with leadership's strategy
* Manage Product Managers and Specialists to execute product marketing strategies and initiatives
* Develop and own product roadmaps for all product areas, gathering input and driving alignment with functional areas including Business Leaders, Sales, Operations, Marketing
* Oversee product development by approving work through stage-gate reviews
* Be the expert of the competition - gather intelligence on competitive product, pricing, and promotion by conducting research and customer insights, and compile analysis in products and systems
* Articulate and cascade customer needs to applicable cross-functional teams
* Calculate addressable market and market growth forecast for product categories
* Own strategic pricing and provide guidelines for sales team by analyzing competition, costs, profitability through periodic reviews
* Analyze monthly category revenue and margin performance, sales pipelines, customer needs and market trends to develop industry leading short- and long-term product roadmaps, product support, and strategic pricing, which drives short- and long-term revenue growth
* Own Product Lifecycle Management, SKU rationalization, product line extension and ongoing margin improvement (reformulation, strategic sourcing, etc.)
* Ensure all products and systems continually meet all regulatory, certification and listing requirement
* Determine testing support and certifications needed and initiate testing procedures
* Define and implement PM best practices
* Implement SKU management best practices and processes
* Participate and collaborate in industry associations and events to inform and develop outside-in knowledge base

Travel Requirement:


* Frequent and regular travel is required for this position.

Education and Experience:


* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required. A master's degree is preferred.
* At least ten years of experience in marketing and long-range planning required.
* Building material industry experience preferred
