Position Summary:



The person in this role will support the warehouse/stockroom and be responsible for inventory records including counting, storing, records comparison, and rotating stock in the warehouse or stockroom daily.



Responsibilities:



  • Counts materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock. Posts totals to inventory records.

  • Stocks and issues materials or merchandise.

  • Compares actual inventories to records; computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to determine current inventory.

  • Able to handle pressure smoothly and productively.

  • Handle unexpected challenges with a positive outlook.




Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years general knowledge of warehouse/stockroom environment.



  • Must have basic math skills, read pick lists, data printouts, bills of material and other documents. Accuracy of data entry, accounts and record keeping is essential.

  • General knowledge of warehouse/stockroom procedures crucial.

  • Must be detail-oriented with good mathematical abilities.

  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but non-technical written or oral instructions a must.

  • Must have ability to work as a team member to achieve the company’s quality and production standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work with production employees and managers, often under stressful conditions.

  • Ability to key in data, type, and operate a computer keyboard needed.

  • Skills to operate raw material cutting equipment.

  • Must be flexible with overtime and weekends, as necessary.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.


Preferred Skills:



  • Some college-level business-related courses preferred.
