Position Summary:
The person in this role will support the warehouse/stockroom and be responsible for inventory records including counting, storing, records comparison, and rotating stock in the warehouse or stockroom daily.
Responsibilities:
Counts materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock. Posts totals to inventory records.
Stocks and issues materials or merchandise.
Compares actual inventories to records; computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to determine current inventory.
Able to handle pressure smoothly and productively.
Handle unexpected challenges with a positive outlook.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years general knowledge of warehouse/stockroom environment.
Must have basic math skills, read pick lists, data printouts, bills of material and other documents. Accuracy of data entry, accounts and record keeping is essential.
General knowledge of warehouse/stockroom procedures crucial.
Must be detail-oriented with good mathematical abilities.
Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but non-technical written or oral instructions a must.
Must have ability to work as a team member to achieve the company’s quality and production standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work with production employees and managers, often under stressful conditions.
Ability to key in data, type, and operate a computer keyboard needed.
Skills to operate raw material cutting equipment.
Must be flexible with overtime and weekends, as necessary.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Skills:
Some college-level business-related courses preferred.
