Job Summary

The Sr. Accountant position performs advanced accounting assignments, obtains, and analyzes financial information to prepare reports, statements, and recommendations.  Assists with the month end close process, G/L analysis and reconciliations, journal entries, allocations,  financial reporting and budgeting/forecasting.

Essential Functions                                  

• Manage work order closings, variance reporting & cost accounting


• Perform specialized accounting assignments, involving complex and confidential data


• Provide support for cost savings, data analysis, and tracking of business performance


• Provide support for external audits


• Manage fixed assets & depreciation


• Manage lease obligations


• Sales Tax and government reporting


• Evaluate capital acquisition proposals


• Develop and report operation performance metrics


• Manage the company’s inventory cycle counting process


• Provide work leadership and direction to other staff members


• Provide special project assistance to the CFO or Corporate Controller


• Provide support and act as a back-up to Accounts Receivable

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting


• 4 years of experience in an Accounting role


• Microsoft Office experience, with strong Excel Skills


• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills


• Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship building skills

Preferred

• 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment


• ERP experience


• CMA or CPA certification
