The Department of Pathology is seeking a Laboratory Technician II to perform a variety of laboratory tasks related to clinical specimen processing and shipping, test result reporting, computer/clerical duties, telephone/electronic inquiries, routine laboratory maintenance and supply distribution. This position is 100%-time, Monday-Friday, 1st shift, during 0800-1630.
Duties to include:
Responds to telephone/electronic inquiries to include Commercial Mailouts (CM) voice mail.

Performs LIS/computer/clerical tasks.
Contributes to the maintenance of the work environment.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Two years of related laboratory experience including one year as a Laboratory Technician I or equivalent experience, or
Certified Laboratory Assistant (CLA) certification, or
Any combination of related post high school education and experience which totals two years.
Desirable Qualifications:
Public Contact/Customer Service skills.
Prior laboratory experience with pre-analytical specimen handling and processing.
Proficient with Epic and Beaker.
Experience creating patient and supplier invoices.
Knowledge of CPT coding.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Adobe.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
