Are you our next EIA Technician?
The EIA Technician will troubleshoot/repair/calibrate/clean/install electrical, electronic, instrumentation and automation equipment at four Florida Mosaic Port terminal locations. Equipment including but not limited to; med-low voltage AC and DC electrical systems, lighting, motors and motor starter circuits, switches & receptacles, variable speed drives, power supply wiring, rigid and flexible conduits, transformers, programmable logic controllers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Comply with NFPA 70E, National Electrical Codes (NEC) and Mosaic's EHS policies/procedures/Code of Ethics. Read and understand electrical and instrumentation drawings, schematics, ladder logic diagrams and manuals. Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Pre Job Hazard-Analysis, Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO), Hot Work, Hazardous Work, Confined Space, Water Safety, Line Breaking, Safe Work, as well as other environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements. Daily routine work includes PM Inspections, Work Order Feedback, General Equipment/Line Isolation, permits, forms and reports. Actively participate in daily/weekly/monthly EHS and EIA meetings and training events. Participate in Maintenance Workflow by documenting As found/As left and providing feedback on work execution roadblocks and successes. Initiate new work requests via the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS=Maximo) when any new defects are identified.
What will you do?
Use hand tools, calibration, and testing equipment to maintain, clean and repair various Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation systems at the facility.
Install & maintain motors, starters, drives, etc. on low-med voltage electrical systems.
Replace, repair, troubleshoot, calibrate, and clean instrumentation systems.
Analyze and correct automation hardware & software issues to maintain site operations as needed.
Be vigilant of issues and conditions that could affect the health and wellbeing of themselves, their coworkers, and or the environment.
Report any issue that could impact the environment or the safety of any person.
Responsible for the housekeeping of all EIA tools, equipment, and work areas.
Responsible for planned & scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
Communicates daily with area supervisor who prioritizes, and delegates work to the technicians.
Follows verbal or written instructions from supervision and management then utilizes and inputs data into the CMMS (Maximo) system as required.
Respond to unplanned EIA maintenance emergencies as required by management.
Safely operate a Mosaic owned vehicle (pick-up) on Public and/or Company roads.
Support EIA maintenance requirements of the Florida distribution site that are, Tampa Marine, Port Sutton, Big Bend, and Hookers Point.
Be fit tested and wear a respirator when required.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following:
HS diploma or GED preferred
Associate degree preferred
4 years' experience in Industrial Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation or completion of an accredited Apprenticeship Program in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation Systems
IBEW apprenticeship and Phosphate industry desired
Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Good organizational skills and ability to work alone, with a partner, or in a team setting
Ability to accept and follow all safety procedures
Hard copy and electronic data entry capable
Ability to safely move in and through work areas, including climbing stairs, maintaining good balance, being mentally alert, having good visual acuity and safely working at heights
Ability to safely work in and around heavy industrial environment, including moving objects, concentrated chemicals, and transport vehicles
Complete Pre-Job Workplace Examinations
Responsible for the safe and compliant storage/inspection/usage of tools and equipment as assigned
Physical work environment is frequently outdoors and exposed to varying temperatures from below 32 degrees to above 85 degrees Fahrenheit
