Schneider Electric is seeking a creative, self-driven, and motivated Sr. Writer, Content and Thought Leadership to join our North American Marketing team.

We are seeking a storyteller to help vocalize and shape our narrative around sustainability, decarbonization, energy management and efficiency. This role will help define the voice of Schneider Electric in the US and will take a journalistic approach to determine and develop the right Thought Leadership content for our Executives, Brand, and businesses.

As a Sr. Writer they will work closely with business stakeholders, digital subject matter experts, executive leadership members and internal and external agencies to develop marketing strategies and content for all customer-facing marketing messages. This content will help drive an increase in brand share of earned media & engagement drivers across multiple channels, and segments in the U.S.

This role crafts copy that embodies the Schneider Electric brand and clearly reflects key business messages, while driving customer interest in our products and solutions. They will be expected to understand changing business needs quickly within the context of industry trends. All communication assets should advance customer engagement by providing customized messaging and copy based on defined customer segments and their main challenges, shared knowledge of user behavior, customer benefits, and best practice standards. Most importantly, this candidate must be able to understand and apply Schneider Electric's tone of voice, brand message guidelines, and global editorial standards throughout the development of all communication assets.

Responsibilities


  • Lead the thought leadership content strategy and development for U.S. channels and segments- you'll be a leader and an executor

  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies and business partners to determine creative strategy, concepts, and copy direction of branding and marketing initiatives

  • Copywriting for both digital and offline marketing initiatives, including but not limited to video, web content, webinars, case studies, e-guides, brochures, speaking engagements, paid media, promotional copy, social media and more

  • Perform basic levels of QA and proofreading on peer-generated copy

  • SEO: vast understanding of SEO and associated tools like SEM Rush, and how to optimize content to improve search rankings

  • Analytics: strong understanding of analytics to provide insights and reporting on KPIs like content quality, content resonance, leads, conversion rates, views, traffic source, bounce rate, scroll depth and more

  • Ensure consistent brand voice across all communication efforts


Qualifications

  • Experience creating content across several disciplines (text, design, video, etc.) and media (blogging, guides, whitepapers, research, infographics, podcasts, etc.).

  • 8+ years of work experience in writing, communications and/or marketing

  • Expertise in Google Analytics and SEO tools like SEM Rush

  • Strong project management and time management skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Business or related disciplines.
