Arthrex is actively searching for a QC Inspector III - ACT who will perform a variety of quality control test and inspection functions on materials, components and finished goods at various stages of the production. We are also offering a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings), You will be paid the first $1,000.00 after completing your first 90 days and the second $2,000.00 after completing your first 180 days, if you are an employee in good standing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Read and comprehend dimensional criteria on parts using engineering drawings, specifications, Inspection procedures or work instructions.

  • Read and comprehend component/PCBA criteria using block diagrams and schematics.

  • Knowledge of tools, measuring equipment and inspection procedures, including sampling plans to accurately inspect all types of incoming, first article, in-process or final components / assemblies/products for conformance to predetermined specifications.

  • Inspect components before assembly, Test trial products during development, Test finished goods, Record testing data and analyze results to determine whether products meet quality standards, Maintain testing methods and equipment, Assemble and calibrate testing equipment, Use testing data to recommend improvements to the production process

  • Records data, applying statistical quality control procedures.

  • Using documented history recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum overall quality.

  • Performs as needed, destructive and/or nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

  • May specialize in a particular area of quality control such as incoming material, process control, and final inspection.

  • Performs quality control equipment calibrations and records the data as required into SAP.

  • Primarily works unsupervised.

Safety:

Has the ability to follow all safety training requirements for his/her position. Notifies management and/or the Safety Officer of any unsafe work conditions that might arise immediately.

Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • 3 years experience in QC or related industry functions required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Ability to interpret and understand engineering prints and the ability to use measuring tools and devices.

Must have mechanical and/or electrical aptitude and be detail oriented.

Knowledge of various electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters, waveform generators and oscilloscopes, and their maintenance and storage procedures.

Inspects all levels of Goods.

Current knowledge of using precision instruments and understanding GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Understanding of IPC-600/610 Electrical Workmanship Requirements.

Understanding of Gage R&R and capability studies.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: Standard hand measuring tools such as go/no-go gauges, rulers, caliper, profilometers, and micrometers. Must be able to determine and configure setup for component inspection utilizing items such as gauge blocks, DMMs, CMMs, and optical comparators.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions as to the best course of action. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
