Compliance/ Contract Specialist [Economic Inclusiveness Reporting] at H2M architects + engineers

Job Description:

H2M architects + engineers , a multi-disciplined professional consulting and design firm, actively seeks a Compliance/ Contract Specialist to enhance and maintain internal program management and compliance processes.

Job Responsibilities

With guidance from the Corporate Counsel and Risk Management Team, the Compliance/Contract Specialist will support existing departmental processes while seeking opportunities to enhance those processing by:


  • maintaining a working knowledge of statutory, regulatory and business requirements pertaining to H2M

  • assisting internal staff with execution of tasks intended to ensure compliance with those requirements

  • assisting internal staff (e.g., Department and Project Managers) with executed of tasks intended to fulfill, and ensure compliance with, those requirements.

The Specialist will work primarily in the following programs:


  • Subconsultant / Subcontractor Program

    • Maintain internal database of prospective and active subconsultants and subcontractors

    • Collect, review, and organize documentation pertaining to subconsultant and subcontractor agreements, insurance, and certifications

    • Maintain an expiration tracking system for subconsultant and subcontractor insurance and certifications

    • Follow-up with project managers to ensure use of subconsultant and subcontractor feedback system

    • Work alongside accounting, human resources, and project management teams to assemble data required to produce and submit accurate plans and compliance reports to regulatory agencies

    • Act as in-house subject matter expert for compliance reporting procedures and share knowledge pertaining to these programs with subconsultants and subcontractors as needed



Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Demonstrating ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrating attention to accuracy and detail

  • Demonstrating proficiency in MS Excel (Use of Formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.) and ability to quickly master new software.

  • Familiarity with engineering , architecture, and construction industries ( preferred but not required).

  • Familiarity with typical business and industry contract provisions and insurance requirements.
