Located in Sunnyvale CA, this individual must provide future strategy, leadership, technical, and administrative mentorship across interdepartmental boundaries as related to global spare parts support of minimally invasive robotic surgical equipment support. This key leadership role will be challenged to effectively lead the Services Logistics Department resources required to support global business growth demands and support installed equipment in the field. This individual must have demonstrated track record of achieving results through a cross functional global environment. This individual must possess high level leadership, team building skills, coaching, and mentorship skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Create and deploy global spare parts logistics strategy, align with the strategic plans of our manufacturing repair plants and our Customer Experience teams.

  • Represent the complete logistics function for key strategic changes.

  • With the future in mind, create an organizational team with functional and leadership capabilities. Attract, retain, and motivate a high-performance organization capable of driving excellence.

  • Analyze operational costs from ISI internal and 3PL operations to enable the most cost-effective solutions while meeting customer delivery requirements. Responsible for leading change in systems, mechanization, automation, and process to enhance our capabilities.

  • Lead, strategize, and execute the global Forward Stocking Location strategy.

  • Liaise with Services Planning team to maintain appropriate Customer Support Inventory levels to ensure proper usage of the 3PL resources and shipping methods to support the end customer and value proposition.

  • Manage part request fulfillment 3PL infrastructure to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest possible levels (i.e. user request, order management, warehousing management, distribution services)

  • Create and foster a continuous improvement culture and discipline within the team. Drive best practices and change throughout the regions to ensure consistent, high quality and repeatable performance. Measure through integrated KPIs and metrics managed centrally and locally.

  • Perform other projects or duties that may be assigned

Qualifications

Skill/Job Requirements:

In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must have:


  • Managerial experience of a minimum 8 to 10 years, proven leadership and motivational skills

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree and 8 to 10 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.


  • Excellent understanding of Service Logistics, Customer Service, Field Service, Production Planning, Materials Management, RMA processing, and Quality & Regulatory Affairs operational and informational needs

  • Previous work experience in the aforementioned disciplines with emphasis on Service Logistics and Field Service support (prior work experience with a medical equipment manufacturer is desirable)

  • Knowledge of general manufacturing practices is a must

  • Knowledge US export and import regulations is a must

  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods transportation regulation such as DOT and IATA is desirable

  • Understanding of Business Information Systems (i.e. SAP, CRM, Agile, Oracle) and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications

  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with little supervision

  • Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $187,700 USD - $281,500 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $159,500 USD - $239,300 USD
Shift: Day
Travel: 25% of the time
Workplace Type: Purposeful Onsite - This job requires being onsite for leader-defined events and activities which could be monthly/annually. Onsite frequency may increase based on business need.
