JOB DESCRIPTION

The White Plains & Albany Marketing Manager role has direct and full marketing oversight for the White Plains Branch including Albany, NY, and Southern Vermont.

Core responsibilities for this leadership position include:


  • Leading branch sales and distribution efforts for Chubb, including Commercial Insurance, Small Business, Personal Lines, and Major segments.
  • Implementing and executing internal sales processes, driving profitable growth opportunities for all segments and products, and instilling a sales culture within the assigned territory.
  • Assist the Branch Manager and Business Unit Managers with strategy planning and execution, contingent income administration and effectively manage the distribution channel via agency planning, recruiting new appointments, and increased market share.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and influence management skills, with the ability to create strategic plans, implement branch wide processes to drive desired behaviors, organize resources, initiate action, and influence people both internally and externally.
A full breadth of producers is represented, including large, interstate, and large regional agencies, independent agents, and multinational brokers.

Additional responsibilities for this function include:

  • Possess a strong knowledge of Chubb's various lines of business and market segments across all business units.
  • Work collaboratively and influence Identifying, analyzing, generating, and developing sources of desirable new business opportunities from existing and new market relationships.
  • Marketplace visibility connecting resources internally and externally to generate business for the branch/territory. Maintain aggressive schedule of producer travel to ensure Chubb's visibility in the marketplace and appropriate messaging is communicated to partners.
  • Build relationships with key partnerships locally and regionally to assist in business development opportunities.
  • Providing leadership in accessing opportunities for growth in each segment and product as well as working with managers to identify, articulate and execute priorities.
  • Work collaboratively and influence colleagues to achieve goals including growth, target/pipeline development, cross-sell, retention, and other financial metrics.
  • Assisting segment leaders with sales/marketing skill development for their respective teams.
  • Identifying and sharing information regarding competitor products and underwriting.
  • Serve as a training resource for distribution management and sales skills. Mentor less tenured staff to build their marketing, distribution management and visibility skill set.
  • Maintaining open and timely communication with territory underwriting staff regarding marketing and business updates, initiatives, local conditions, and producer compensation/results.
  • Distribution Analysis of existing and future distribution partners, understanding the share of wallet across the White Plains/Albany geography and building a plan to expand and contract where necessary to drive growth for Chubb.
