Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Services develops advanced technologies to make it possible for doctors to get vital information about their patients' hearts without it interrupting their lives. The best-in-class insertable cardiac monitors, or ICMs, help identify or rule out heart rhythm disorders, so patients can then receive the right course of treatment and best manage their condition.

Through its continuous, long-term monitoring, the ICMs can support the diagnosis of conditions related to your heart - such as atrial fibrillation - or determine whether health concerns such as unexplained fainting or an unexplained stroke may be related to your heart. Our LINQ family of ICMs also monitor irregular heartbeats to guide a physician's decisions around effective therapies, disease management, and secondary stroke prevention strategies.

We also provide services and technologies that deliver patients' heart data to their physicians wirelessly, help clinicians streamline their patients' data, program our devices remotely, and use artificial intelligence (AI) to make our devices all the more accurate

This position has overall responsibility for Quality of the Cardiovascular Diagnostics (CDS) business which is part of the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Operating Unit. Additionally has the responsibility for the Data Analytics and Warranty for all of the Cardiac Rhythm Management business . The group consists of ~20 employees which includes 2 Managers.

• Responsible for the CDS Post-Mkt Quality decision leadership (such as product recalls, FDA interaction, Physician Quality Panels)

• Responsible for overall CDS quality pre and post market decisions in the GMs' staff meetings.

• Provide leadership for CRM data analytics /complaint trending and Customer facing Product Performance website (PPeS)

• Set strategic priorities for Trending and warranty groups

• Work with the Warranty manager to ensure positive customer experience and set the vision for US and OUS customer support

• Represent CDS in the CAPA Triage boards to ensure appropriate issues are escalated to CAPA

• Leadership for the Released Product Management board to influence priorities and provide resources to support post market changes

• Develop talent and leadership skills of 2 managers and the technical members

• Integrate the CDS post market quality with the CRM post market quality resources.

• Program Management for the CRM post market quality strategic initiatives.

This position is in Mounds View, MN. within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) operating unit and requires on-site presence three days a week.

A Day in the Life

In general, the following responsibilities apply for The Engineering Director role. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Responsible for the ensuring risk assessment are completed on time and meet the KPI

• Direct leadership of ~6 employees made up of 2 Managers, and Technical Personnel - responsible for performance reviews, salary actions, and IDP reviews

• Lead the ~ 20 member org to set strategic priorities for the data analytics and warranty

• Lead the Post market strategic initiatives

• Sit in the CAPA triage board and the Released Product Management Board

• Product performance of CDS products and presentation to GM staff/Quality Leadership

• As needed present in the Independent Physician Quality Panel

• Collaborate across multiple internal CRHF functions, including Research and Development, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Technical Communications, Operations, Marketing, etc. to effectively coordinate post market updates.

• Collaborate with the CDS pre- market QCTMs to ensure alignment on the risk based

• Coaches team members through technical, logistical, and problem solving and resolution including technical CAPA investigation and action phases.

MUST HAVE - MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical discipline.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated experience and competence influencing and managing cross-functionally and across multiple engineering disciplines.

• Mastery of managing complex issues , design controls and quality system regulations

• Experience in interacting with customers

• Medical Device Industry experience or other regulated industry.

• Experience with or conversant with the CAPA process

• Experience in interacting with manufacturing sites

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations).The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience,certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.

Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary depending on job-relatedknowledge, skills, and experience.
