Overview
The Maintenance Technical Supervisor is responsible for providing oversight of the contracted MRO service provider and selected outside contractors, providing first review of all MRO change requests, and SAP PM module business administration duties. They will report to the Maintenance Superintendent.
Responsibilities
Ensure parts availability including working within the MRO stockroom or with vendors to minimize equipment downtime while balancing economic maintenance inventory management
Establish and periodically review material reorder points, and maximum stock levels in SAP
Partner with business leaders on implementation of equipment and manufacturing reliability, process improvements (OE / Lean) including leading change initiatives, planning, and facilitation of improvement project(s) completion
Oversee and manage SAP equipment and part data fields to ensure high accuracy
Assists with Audit needs as necessary
Assures the safe execution of all maintenance and utility activities, demands that all plant activities are conducted following all safety procedures
Champions safety as the first consideration of all employees/contractors and promotes a safe work environment through own behaviors
Maintains facility and assets to meet regulatory guidelines e.g., USDA, FDA, OSHA, and EPA
Optimizes costs through effective budget planning and management and maintains a cost-effective approach toward asset management and minimizing loss and waste
Optimizes the safe operation of production assets through support of appropriate predictive and preventative maintenance and safe and effective execution of corrective maintenance and projects
Supports maintenance staff training on effective maintenance practices, including effective use of the computerized maintenance management system, problem solving tools, risk and failure analysis, maintenance scheduling and analysis of maintenance related data and equipment history
Supports departmental goals and KPI’s through a collaborative effort with maintenance departmental supervision, and site leadership
Assist with evaluating reliability, utility, facility, and production needs for Capital Equipment
All other duties as assigned by the Director, Technical Services or the Maintenance Superintendent to support the facility
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment with prior relevant experience preferred
A related Associates degree equals two years’ experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
Extensive knowledge including but not limited to the following areas: procurement, inventory control and management, six sigma, supply chain, and CMMS systems
