We're seeking a mid-level Business Analyst who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, who is one of the top 10 largest electric companies in the U.S., headquartered in Newark, NJ.


As a Smartsheet Configuration Analyst, you will play a vital role in optimizing our project management and workflow processes by leveraging the capabilities of Smartsheet, a cloud-based platform for work execution.

You will collaborate closely with various teams across the organization to understand their requirements, configure Smartsheet solutions accordingly, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Your expertise in Smartsheet configuration will enable us to streamline operations, enhance collaboration, and drive efficiency across the organization.

This a remote position located in Newark, NJ. Qualified candidate must be local to the area and able to go into the office periodically when needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their project management and workflow requirements, including process workflows, data structures, reporting needs, and integration requirements.
  • Continually improve upon project management processes and Smartsheet Administration within the Smartsheet Core Application, Smartsheet Control Center and Resource Management
  • Utilize your expertise in Smartsheet to configure solutions that meet the identified requirements, including creating project templates, workflows, forms, dashboards, and automated workflows using formulas and automation features.
  • Serve as the Smartsheet subject matter expert (SME) on Smartsheet product capabilities and extensibility scenarios that leverage API's.
  • Maintain and contribute to internal configuration changes and support.
  • Expand upon the Smartsheet solution portfolio, demonstration best practices in EPMO Stage Gate Process.
  • Liaison with App Support team for Integration.
  • Stay updated on the latest features and capabilities of Smartsheet and proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing solutions and processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including configuration guides, user manuals, and standard operating procedures, to ensure the knowledge transfer and sustainability of SmartSheet solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with business objectives

Required Education & Experience:




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years experience as a Smartsheet Configuration Analyst
  • Proven experience in configuring and administering SmartSheet solutions in a business environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and workflows.
  • Experience with integrating SmartSheet with other systems using APIs or third-party tools.
  • Proficiency in creating complex formulas, automated workflows, and dynamic reports in SmartSheet.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Smartsheet or related project management tools (e.g., PMP, CAPM) are a plus.
  • Utilities experience


This is a Contract opportunity.


Location : Remote / Local to Customer Site - NJ



Contract : 6 Month +possibly extension



Pay rate : $40-42/hr.
