Job Summary

The Analyst, Marketing Content Review (MCR) role is responsible for performing the review, analysis, and process management of consumer-facing marketing materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and business best practices. This position will use critical thinking and various marketing resources and workflow tools to interpret, formulate, and deliver recommendations and solutions to mitigate risk; enabling a consistent, positive consumer experience when promoting Bread Financial's product offerings. Must communicate effectively with external partners and internal associates, adjusting the message appropriately for the audience spanning multiple job levels across organizations. The Analyst, MCR will develop the knowledge and skillset to complete deliverables on time and within a quality manner while building and maintaining relationships with partners.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Process and Material Management: Responsible for performing the first line of defense review within the larger marketing execution lifecycle; meaning a holistic, independent evaluation of materials by applying learned rulesets and compliance guidelines to drive accuracy and effectiveness of consumer-facing marketing materials. Also responsible for document management, from intake through deployment, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to mitigate operational risk. Accountable to meet service level agreements with the ability to adjust and prioritize work to meet tight and evolving deadlines. Serves as the primary contact for consultation, education, and/or challenges regarding marketing guidance provided, marketing standards, interpretations of requirements, status of reviews, and any issue investigation or resolution.


  • Problem Solving: Builds foundational knowledge to assess the quality of marketing materials and, as needed, leverages peers, leaders, and team resources for consultation while applying marketing concepts into daily review functions. Delivers clear guidance, recommendations, and direction of determined modifications needed to mitigate risk exposure and bring materials to a final, consumer-ready state. Identifies and provides recommendations on improvement and efficiency opportunities within processes and procedures owned by the team. Demonstrates flexibility and able to work with ambiguity, developing and applying critical thinking as exposure and scope increases across new or complex marketing products and initiatives.


  • Quality Assurance and Performance: Ensures accurate review of marketing materials pre-deployment and meets team quality and performance metrics. Demonstrates solid written and verbal communication skills with business partners to educate, influence, and drive adherence to provided guidance. Results-oriented; assists in incorporating audit and monitoring opportunities, establishing new or modified marketing guidelines and process improvement into daily functions. Applies provided prioritization guidance to ensure tasks are being executed on time and as expected.


  • Relationship Management: Gains business perspective and knowledge of the organization's key initiatives and processes to build cross-functional relationships for successful collaboration and execution. Contributes to building a high-performing and positive team atmosphere. Actively participates in meetings with both internal and external partners to build trust and rapport.

  • This position is hybrid with an onsite schedule of 3-4 days per month. In-office requirements are subject to change based on business needs. This position is currently available to candidates that reside within 60 miles of Columbus, OH;

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED

  • One or more years' experience (may include some classroom work) in Financial Services Industry, Operations, Marketing Workflow, Workflow Management, Marketing Execution; understanding of Agile development methodologies; end-to-end product delivery; Foundation of product management/marketing management, at various levels

Preferred Experience:

  • Two or more years' experience (may include some classroom work) in Marketing Content Review, Marketing Compliance, Risk or Quality, Financial Services or Retail Industry, Operations, Marketing Workflow, Workflow Management, Marketing Execution; understanding of Agile development methodologies; end-to-end product delivery; Foundation of product management/marketing management, at various levels

Typical Pay Range:
$26.55 - $48.05

Full Pay Range for position:
Washington: $27.85 - $55.25

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates, both full time and part time, can immediately enroll in Bread Financial's 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Full-time hourly associates receive a bi-annual grant of Paid Time Off ("PTO") in each January and July based on their service date and scheduled hours, whereas newly hired full time hourly associates in their first year of employment receive a prorated PTO grant on their 61st day of employment based on the month of hire and scheduled hours. Associates will receive a payout of any unused PTO, up to 40 hours, paid out in the next calendar year (except associates in Alaska, California, Colorado, Montana and Nebraska who are paid for all unused PTO). Additionally, hourly associates (except those in California) generally receive 72 hours of Paid Sick Leave Plus ("PSL+") per calendar year, with a pro-rated grant in the associate's first year of employment to the extent allowed by applicable law. If additional PSL+ is required in a particular jurisdiction, the company with comply with applicable law. Unused PSL+ does not carry over from one calendar year to the next unless required by applicable law. Instead of PSL+, hourly associates in California receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time ("PSST") upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December.
