LG&E Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Director of FP&A to join our team located in Danbury, CT but will consider Woodlands, TX, Burr Ridge, IL and Tonawanda, NY. The Director of FP&A will be accountable for LG&E's month-end close process, corporate / business reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, planning, and capital investment analysis. The role will support FP&A's financial requirements within the business and to corporate partners. Responsibilities - Works closely with Shared Services and corporate functions to ensure business unit compliance and accounting discipline in LG&E. - Partners with the LG&E Controller's and functional staff to identify business and financial risks, prepare and execute budget and strategy, analyze financial variances to initiate appropriate action, monitor and manage key business drivers of financial results, appropriately communicate business trends and results to senior staff. - Provide financial consulting and strategic support to business management, including financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, acquisitions analysis and other projects requested by management. - Leads LG&E in the development of the annual business plan by working with functional / business unit leaders & the finance organization. - Oversee development of annual capital budgets, analysis of major capital investments, and the reporting/forecasting of monthly capital spend. - Manages large data sets for financial analysis and must demonstrate the pro-active desire/ability to bring process improvement to the role. - Support due diligence efforts of potential Merger & Acquisition targets. - Liaise with shared services in LG&E's Corporate Accounting group to ensure appropriate accounting treatment for transactions in the region. - Monthly reporting on financial results, forecast and variances. - Provide guidance to regional management on overall financial policies and regulations. - Other duties as assigned. Requirements - A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related discipline. A master's degree in finance will also be a strong consideration. - 15- 20 years of increasing responsibilities in a Finance function within a large global corporation preferred. - Communicates effectively across all levels of the organization. - Experience with and knowledge of financial systems(JDE, Hyperion). - Operational knowledge and experience in the manufacturing industry preferred - Comfortable working in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment with a high se n se of urgency. - Drive for results and performance driven. - Ability to operate at a strategic level and deep dive into the details as re quired. - Action oriented, self- motivated, optimizes work processes and ensures accountability. - Ability to develop relationships and influence senior level business leaders. - Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and leading change. - Ability to travel domestically- 10% Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2023 sales of $33 billion.
