Job Description
Job Summary:
The position will focus on sarcoma investigation design, writing sarcoma initiative studies, spearhead sarcoma research in adolescents and young adults, and facilitate sarcoma global oncology initiatives. The incumbent in this position will work closely with Director, Sarcoma Med Research Program and will be a key member of bone sarcoma oriented grant applications including multi-PI grants and a planned sarcoma NCI SPORE. The position will hold a secondary appointment in the Department of Orthopedics and collaborate with faculty members in the Department of Orthopedics, and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The Professor will manage and/or oversee scientists, postdoctoral fellows and their research projects, and may supervise research projects of interns, undergraduate or graduate students. The Professor may lecture or conduct demonstrations and teach across UM schools. The Professor will partner and collaborate with faculty in the Department of Medicine, and perhaps other departments throughout UM, to advance knowledge, research, training, and education.
