Overview

Stewart & Stevenson in Now Hiring at 4800 River Rd. Jefferson, LA 70121. Responsible for Yard/Shop organization and the administration of all aspects of rental policies and procedures, including the administration of rental processes, recording, and tracking of rental assets, and scheduling pick-ups and deliveries.

Responsibilities


  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations as well as company policies, promoting a safe and clean working environment for both employees and customers.

  • Interact with drivers/vendors to Load/Unload equipment and heavy material when technicians are not present ensuring paperwork is completed and forwarded to the rental administrator.

  • Organize and tag equipment shortly after arrival for pending check in by technicians.

  • Conduct weekly yard count inventory of equipment and accessories ensuring accuracy.

  • Organize and facilitate the completion of rental orders by technicians ensuring availability of accessories or other materials needed by customers for rented assets.

  • Coordinate work for technicians providing guidance, support, paperwork, and liaison with management as needed.

  • Allocate work assignments to technicians and ensure that work is performed in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

  • Monitor and review the progress of work orders, ensuring that deadlines are met and any issues or delays are promptly addressed.

  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed repairs to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.

  • Maintain and update service records, including work orders, repair logs, and customer information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Collaborate with other departments or teams, such as management, parts procurement, or customer service to facilitate smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

  • Facilitate Record360 outbound/inbound paperwork for all Rental orders.

  • Confirm all haulers and/or customer pick up orders have required paperwork to be signed by all parties.

  • Assist Sales Reps with checking unit availability.

  • Work with Rental Administrators to help with overflow.

  • Any additional tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and two to four years related experience.


  • Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.

  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

  • Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.

  • Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Prior experience in a service/aftermarket environment is preferred.
