Heavy Equipment Mechanic:
This position requires a strong dedication to safety, quality, professional and efficient decision-making skills, teamwork, and desire to learn. Seeking Individual to perform various duties around an aggregate plant facility which include general laboring, equipment operation and welding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Support a culture that promotes safety as top priority while ensuring compliance with all federal, state and company regulatory policies and procedures. • Assist plant supervisor with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant. • Ability to access all areas of the plant to perform necessary maintenance, welding and repairs. • Maintain crusher including cleaning and lubrication of equipment. • Move levers to regulate flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes or storage bins. • Start crusher, and prods, breaks, or discards lumps to prevent plugging. • Adjust equipment such as screens, conveyors, and fans, to control or vary size or grade of product, or to maintain uniform flow of materials. • Maintain time and material records necessary to complete daily job costing. • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and crew performance. • Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly. • Ability to follow directions. • Must be able to work evenings and weekends. • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in MSHA policies and procedures manual, and OSHA guidelines. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills
High school education or GED equivalent
Skid Steer experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience using basic tools.
Knowledge of welding and general mechanics preferred.
