We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our rapidly growing company in our corporate headquarters, located in Atlanta, GA. The primary function of the Tax Manager is to oversee and manage the federal, state, and international tax filings for a global company. We operate in ~10 countries and leverage local tax resources, to which this role will serve as the day-to-day point of contact. This role will also oversee the partnership tax requirements in the US and abroad. As a key member of our financial leadership team, excellent communication skills are also a requirement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct primary and secondary review of tax compliance, partnership returns, and state returns for multiple US entities
Direct and manage tax consultants to oversee various tax projects
Interact directly with partners related to K-1s, K-2s, and K-3
Review US international income tax returns including Forms 8865, 5471, and 8858
Review foreign statutory tax filings for subsidiary entities and liaise directly with local tax preparers
Review tax provision calculations as prepared by tax consultants (both US and foreign)
Identify and communicate tax and accounting issues to leadership and partners (as necessary)
Track and model tax positions and their potential impacts on the company's effective tax rate
Research tax impacts and determine required disclosures related to transactions
Provide support for external audits
Carry out additional job responsibilities and duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher
4+ years' experience in a corporate income tax role, including partnerships
3+ years' experience with U.S. international tax matters in consulting and/or compliance
Previous CPA firm or multi-national corporation experience
Experience training, supervising, and developing tax staff and/or interns
Knowledge of a broad range of international corporate tax matters such as foreign tax credits, dual consolidated losses, and understanding of US international tax attributes
Ability to work in a team setting, both in person and remotely
Organizational skills and the attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines
Experience with Workday and/or comparable accounting systems preferred
Ability to function well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Functional GAAP accounting knowledge
