Volt is immediately hiring for a Sr. Subsea Project Engineer in Houston, TX.
As the Sr. Subsea Project Engineer, you will ensure proper planning and execution of post-manufacturing services to our client's customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to project execution, product and system troubleshooting, workshop instructions and on-site equipment support, technical documentation, technical planning, customer interface, product design review and validation, product maintenance, upgrade/conversion, repair, and refurbishment. In addition, you will:
Manage the technical scope of delivering the equipment in the project
Develop strong relationships with the shop technicians, customers, Customer Service team, and Installation Engineering team.
Participate in the project planning and schedule process.
Create work instructions and engineering documentation to mobilize, refurbish, upgrade/convert, maintain, and preserve equipment.
Provide workshop and troubleshooting support for assigned projects.
Create and prepare Service Orders to provide comprehensive instructions to workshop for projects including ownership of part and tooling allocations, task list operations, and applicable documentation.
Physical inspection and interaction with equipment in the workshop.
Support field non-conformance investigations, RCAs, and SN resolution.
Consult with other departments on equipment designs and questions; identify root cause of problems.
Prepare reports, including After Action Reviews, for engineering project assignments.
Participate and may lead in product and task standardization projects.
This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a minimum of 5 years of related experience; Master's degree or PhD preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in subsea engineering
Capable of doing system engineering tasks
Capable of producing standard technical system documents
Capable of solving technical issues with coaching
Knowledgeable in how changes influence system engineering cost
Capable of leading teamwork
Salary:$100,000- $120,000 per year
