Volt is immediately hiring an experienced - MOLDING OPERATOR I



Shift: Mon-Fri 7am-330pm

BACKGROUND / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Experience in polymer injection molding. Experience with medical grade polymers and injection compression and variotherm molding processes are preferred.
Experience in operating injection molding machines (Arburg preferred).
Experience in setting molds into injection molding machines.
Working knowledge of mold maintenance, robotics, automation equipment and electric, hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred.
Injection molding process window optimization preferred
Experience in cleanroom environments is desirable.
Experience in assembly activities desired
Basic computer skills.
Motivation for continuous improvement.


ROLE

Perform mold changeovers (including setting molds, changing end-of-arm tooling and loading robot program and process parameters) to ensure product conforms to quality and productivity requirements.
Perform material changeovers.
Perform start-ups and/or re-starts of equipment (molding machines & support equipment).
Perform daily verification of established process parameters.
Participate in the set-up and sampling of new, transferred, and modified molds working closely with Engineering.
Troubleshoot and take corrective actions on molds, processes and equipment.
Complete required paperwork to report production, scrap, press downtime, etc.
Pack, post-process and perform quality control of parts.
Ability to support in various assembly activities in cleanroom environment (laser welding, die cutting, cleaning)
