Job Description:

The Supervisor of Community Evaluation supports the Museum’s evolving research and evaluation needs. This position is responsible for supervising and maintaining a team of part-time research assistants (RAs), which includes scheduling, logistics, and personnel management. Additionally, this position focuses on conducting baseline evaluation studies that help the Museum better understand our community. The Supervisor assists with drafting studies, preparing materials, and communicating with key stakeholders throughout our evaluation processes. Hiring Range: $26.00/hour + $1.00/hour bilingual differential
Work Schedule: Hybrid

Essential Duties


  • Responsible for hiring, supervising, and coordinating Research Assistants, by providing direction, communicating job expectations, and liaising between RAs and the wider research team.

  • Supports evaluation projects by creating baseline studies, establishing timelines for research, reviewing language, and comparing collected data.  

  • Assists with variety of administrative needs including scheduling of team meetings and events, purchasing and maintaining evaluation materials used by RA, requesting translation services when needed, and reviewing translations for accuracy and consistency.

  • Ensures that RAs are consistently and adequately trained and fully knowledge about project content to guarantee proper data collection and coverage for all research projects.

  • Provides outstanding customer service to internal and external customers by answering questions, providing insight, resolving concerns, and representing the Museum at events and in the community.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • 1 years’ experience conducting quantitative and qualitative social science research and/or evaluation required.

  • 2 years’ experience supervising staff required.

  • Occasional travel in and out of state required.

  • Ability to (speak, read, write) in English/Spanish required
