Job Description:

We are seeking a Receptionist to join a client in North San Jose. This role will start out as temporary, but can potentially turn into a temp-to-hire role based on performance. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.


Job Duties:


  • Opening and closing the office.

  • Maintaining the lobby/reception area and general office areas/conference rooms.

  • Answering phones, taking messages and forwarding communications.

  • Serving visitors by greeting, welcoming, checking in and directing them appropriately; notifying company personnel of visitor arrivals.

  • Maintaining corporate directories, security, and telecommunications systems as required.

  • Following and enforcing company security procedures.

  • Assisting in managing and issuing access cards and ID badges.

  • Sorting and managing the mail.

  • Printing FedEx labels and processing packages for shipments.

  • Light shipping and receiving responsibilities.

  • Providing support for company events and lunches.

  • Ordering kitchen and office supplies and maintaining adequate inventories.

  • Daily restocking of kitchen supplies, snacks and office supply cabinets, etc.

  • Interfacing with and managing various outside vendors.

  • Performing light cleaning around the facility as needed.

  • Participate and support Safety Committee/Team.

  • Assisting other departments with other duties on an ad hoc basis, as assigned.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma required 2-year Degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of work experience in reception and/or security preferred.

  • Computer and MS Office skills.

  • Telephone usage in a business environment.

  • Inventory and supply management.

  • Organized and great time management skills.

  • Maintain professionalism in a busy environment with multiple priorities.

  • Customer Focus and Service oriented.

  • Good communication skills and a great attitude.
