Temporary/Temporary to Permanent Certified Medical Assistant Needed for Medical Practices in Towson, MD area.
Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare professionals in patient care activities, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and administering medications as directed.
Perform routine administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing inventory of medical supplies.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Provide support to patients by answering questions, addressing concerns, and explaining procedures.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
Prior experience working in a clinical setting preferred.
Proficiency in basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and conducting simple lab tests.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to providing compassionate care to patients of diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
