Position Summary

Supports the strategy behind and is responsible for the execution of the in-store digital experience. Influences the direction for features, technology, and vendor/field relationships within Subaru's overall brand strategy and advocates for the creation and utilization of an industry-leading in-showroom digital toolkit to help enhance the customer experience and retail success. Builds strong relationships and extensively collaborates with Subaru field teams and retailers to ensure strategy is executed nationwide.

Major Responsibilities


  • Serves as day-to-day point of contact for operational requirements and tasks for custom-built Subaru In-Store Digital Programs, which currently include the Subaru Digital Showroom kiosk and tablet application, as well as Subaru TV.
  • Influences and drives direction, operations, and enhancements of multiple programs forward by delivering strategic recommendations to manager, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Implements new in-store program launches in a continually changing retail environment - including Digital POP Signage and digital activations in the Next Gen Subaru stores. Facilitates the implementation of new features and content responsive to the in-store program strategic goals, customer usage metrics, the direction of Subaru's Marketing Department, and input from retailers and field staff.
  • Develops business requirements, creative briefs, SOWs, and other project-related documentation to provide internal and external partners with clear and accurate direction.
  • Works with external agency to recommend enhancements to the customer experience (UX), provides feedback on the design directions and/or content improvement, and works with Subaru of America (SOA) management for sign-off on the recommended direction.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for and collaborates with agencies/vendors to estimate the level of effort for projects and ensure that agreed-upon projects are delivered on time and on budget for in-store digital programs.
  • Monitors vendor performance and works with In-Store Digital Platform Manager and vendor to improve processes as needed.
  • Coordinates with Digital Platform Content Specialists to provide clear direction on product and non-product specific content integrations to create an intuitive consumer experience consistent with brand standards and other online/offline platforms.
  • Owns the development and delivery of materials and communications that support merchandising, socialization, and training of new platforms, features, and content with SOA stakeholders, field personnel, and retailers. This includes collaboration and oversight with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary point person to oversee technical troubleshooting of platforms as needed, working closely with vendor technical support and Subaru IT and field teams to remedy retailer issues quickly and successfully.
  • Updates or improves all related training modules, as needed, in partnership with Subaru's field training organization to verify that the program meets retailer needs and enhances the sales process through an industry-leading digital toolset.

Required Skills and Personal Personal Qualifications

  • Understanding of the company vision, mission, and brand. Ability to creatively strategize campaign ideas and simplified user experience that are unique to Subaru and promote the engagement of retail sales teams.
  • Customer and retailer-focused to support the development of solutions that truly add value to the Subaru retail experience.
  • Knowledge and experience executing digital design and development projects from initiation through execution and measurement.
  • General knowledge of user experience design principles and best practices, as well as familiarity with ADA compliance guidelines.
  • Ability to manage communications, projects, and budget with external partners.
  • Ability to contend with multiple projects concurrently and manage various responsibilities with extreme time and performance pressures with minimal supervision.
  • Passionate and self-driven team player with the ability to influence others.

  • Adept at troubleshooting basic computer, audio/visual, and network issues as, and when, they arise at SOA HQ, SOA field locations, and at retail outlets.
  • Experience working with or managing digital signage products is preferred.

Educational/Experience Requirements: 4-year college degree (BA, BS), with 6 to 8 years relevant experience.

Work Environment


  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)

  • Travel Required: 10-20%

  • Internal Work Environment: Prolonged sitting at desk and working on computer.

Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $81300 - $95000 / year. (P3) Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, 0nd relevant education or training.
