Location: Hollywood, Florida
Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex multiple trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long-term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
Summary:
Supervise the audiology program by ensuring optimized patient flow and appointment scheduling, ensuring competence for program team members and facilitate the patient and provider referral process for efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic testing to assess patient's hearing and vestibular status and to determine appropriate treatment.Provides or recommends personal and area sound modification devices and strategies, including hearing aids, implants, and alerting devices.Develops, documents, implements, and evaluates a plan of care. Collaborates with patient care team to integrate and coordinate plan of care. Care is provided through evidence based practice and research.Educates patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment options and continuing care.
