Wilsonart currently has an opening for a Director, Sales OEM.This role can be remote anywhere in the United States that is near a major airport. Therefore, we provide:Holiday PayGenerous Vacation timeSUMMARYDirects the selling of Wilsonart Engineered Surfacing products through assigned Sales Account and Segment Managers to customers within the Office, Postform Countertop and Home Center segments/channels. Develops partnering relationships amongst direct buy customers and develops growth plans for the entire Engineered Surfaces portfolio. Reports to the Vice President Sales, North America. Performs other tasks as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Establishes annual growth goals & objectives for all direct reports.
  • Works directly with Sales/Account/Segment Managers calling on key accounts and helps build and develop good customer relationships.
  • Drives revenue growth and manages sales teams to meet all business objectives.
  • Ability to leverage customer relationships to help implement price increases as needed.
  • Serves as a liaison to the Executive Leadership team - Sales, Operations, Distribution, Design and Marketing teams.
  • Creates monthly sales reports (Sales Triage) for Vice President related to sales results, key account activities, actions, and needs within the customer base.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate key actions to assist sales teams in growing sales.
  • Works with internal Product, Sales, Marketing, and Design teams to create value for key accounts.
  • Negotiates key account contracts, agreements, pricing, and programs with direct customers.
  • Collaborates with Regional & Metro Managers regarding OEM/Direct buy account needs.
  • Collaborates with ID & Metro Directors on overall Company goals, objectives, and needs.
  • Represents Wilsonart at Annual Supplier meetings and Product Line Reviews
  • Hosts customer tour groups in Temple/Fletcher
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of direct reports to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Represents Company at trade association meetings to promote products.
  • Performs annual performance reviews with all direct reports.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or Business Administration or a closely related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted in place of degree requirements.
  • 5 + years of field sales experience, which includes two years of sales management experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of the Office, Postform Countertop and Home Center industries.
  • Knowledge of the products marketed to each.
  • Knowledge of sales/marketing techniques, especially as relates to the Home Centers and a retail clientele.
  • Skills in negotiating with large professional corporate buyers/buying teams.
  • Proficient in leading presentations and in public speaking.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to communicate well in oral and written forms at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions based on analysis.
  • Knowledge of sales compensation.
  • Knowledge of program management sufficient to direct national sales efforts.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and lead a diverse sales team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSLight work Tasks involve pushing/pulling, lifting, and standing or using force equal to handling materials up to 20 pounds.
