The UNT Career Center is responsible for the career development and employment of all UNT students and alumni. It has responsibility for all Career Readiness, Coaching, and Education, Student Employment, Internships, and Post-Graduate Employment of UNT students. The Career Center operates as a centralized department with a decentralized approach and sustains collaborative partnerships with academic colleges, student affairs departments, employers, and alumni. Position Overview
The Career Center Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Associate Director, Career Services to join our team. This position will lead employment and career readiness activity related to undergraduate student employees for the entire campus on behalf of the Career Center, and in collaboration with UNT Human Resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field and four years' of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of career advising and development. Knowledge of University operations, policies and procedures. Working knowledge of computer technology and applications in the career services field. Ability to deal tactfully with students, individually and in group situations. Excellent presentation and counseling skills. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to supervise, train, and plan work of subordinates. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Masters degree with related experience. Career Education and Training experience. Human Resources experience. Sustaining collaborative partnerships and communications with proven results.
