The University of Miami, South Florida's premier medical research institution, is constantly expanding the quality and reach of our care. The Division of Cardiology is seeking an APRN to join the growing UHealth Advanced Heart Failure Practice with the goal of providing state of the art comprehensive care to patients with heart failure.


Responsibilities: The Heart Failure Nurse Practitioner performs history and physical examinations in a clinic and hospital setting and carries out appropriate intervention/procedures as determined by the patient plan of care. In collaboration with the supervising physician, the NP will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and in prescribing necessary treatment. The practice includes ambulatory management of advanced heart failure with remote monitoring such as CardioMEMS and Optivol, and active participation in clinical research. The APRN will educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans and will collaborates with other health care professionals to facilitate and coordinate a comprehensive plan of care. In addition, the candidate will contribute to the creation of pathways and protocols for the developing program. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and communication skills.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS


Education:
Master's degree in relevant field


Certification and Licensing:
Valid State of Florida APRN License


Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
