As a Senior Payroll Technician, you will be responsible for keying semi-monthly payrolls and preparing tax deposits, tax returns, and related reports for the associations, Credit Union, and AgFirst Farm Credit Bank. As well as the processing of the payroll semi-monthly.
What you'll do
Reviews payroll for accuracy and balances semi-monthly payroll data for several AgFirst District associations including the processing of all new hires and personnel actions.
Oversees the keying for AgFirst Farm Credit Bank. Makes necessary payroll adjustments such as voiding direct deposits and checks and issuing manual checks for the AgFirst FCB district.
Prepares accounts payable check and wire requests for payment of taxes, garnishments, United Way, and Credit Union deductions for the AgFirst district.
Tests and add new garnishment deductions for the AgFirst FCB district.
Prepare federal, state, and backup withholding deposits for the AgFirst Farm Credit Bank district. Makes tax deposits, balances quarter and annual tax reports and files returns for various local and all state and backup withholding taxes for the AgFirst Farm Credit Bank District.
What you'll need
Education and/or experience equivalent to an associate degree in accounting, business, computer systems, or related fields.
6+ years of experience with an automated payroll system.
Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles, math aptitude, 10-key, strong PC skills.
