Adtran Networks North America, Inc. seeks Principal System Architecture Engineer for Richardson, TX location. Working in the Ethernet Access Engineering group. Help direct the relevant engineering teams for new feature development. Broaden and augment the Market Requirements provided by the Product Line Management group. Decomposing high-level Market Requirements into the appropriate level of detail for the various engineering disciplines to partition the work and move to the next level of functional decomposition. Communicating these more detailed requirements in written form. Participating in Standards meetings to further company's vision for Carrier Ethernet technology. Tracking the activity of the relevant standards groups and presenting the implications of those activities to the local engineering team. Presenting company's input at these standards meetings. Responsible for reviewing and providing feedback on Product Requirements and Engineering documents. Provide consulting across the company for a significant technology domain to a number of different projects. Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers to develop a portion of the system. Act as technical lead/expert or consultant in multiple technical areas. Perform research and drive new technologies internally and represent this work externally within the industry. Position requires Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related.
