  • Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree in Business Related coursework.

This position is responsible for the daily supervision of assigned staff and area to ensure accurate ordering and inventory of medical supplies and materials.


  • Directs, coordinates and audits the activities of the assigned materials and supply staff.
  • Hires, trains and prepares work schedules necessary to meet department requirements.
  • Oversees the procurement, processing, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment essential to nursing care, diagnostic procedures, and other patient care areas for assigned shift.
  • Responsible for inventory management and ensuring the proper record keeping for supplies and material utilization.
  • Develops and implements long and short-range plans for the assigned shift and department in order to provide quality, efficient and service to departments in the most cost effective manner possible.
  • Ensures that operations and staff on assigned shift meet the required JCAHO and other regulatory agency requirements.
