This position is located at Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design
Directs the planning, development, implementation and administration of business and financial services for large College/Division, which may include financial and human resources management, procurement and contract administration, endowments, and management of College/Division business services groups.
1. Manages budgets, including supervising annual budget preparations; monitors department budgets and cost centers and advises college/division administration; prepares budget and personnel reports, analyses and projections.
2. Provides financial accountability and ensures compliance with state, university, and external funding agency guidelines by overseeing the management and maintenance of databases for all personnel, payroll and budgetary information.
3. Administers administrative and financial affairs of the college/division to include personnel, procurement, payroll and budgetary information.
4. Reviews and approves the reconciliation of accounting records with university reports/financial statements and prepares recurring financial/budget reports for internal purposes.
5.Oversees cash handling and charge back centers for the college/division.
6. Oversees activities of college's/division's business administration staff, including direct supervision of central business office staff.
7. Interprets university policies and procedures and trains staff as appropriate; serves as college/division liaison with vendors and contractors.
8. Serves as a resource to the dean, associate deans, departments chairs and college administration/VP, Associate VP; and serves as college/division liaison to the university and external units.
9. Provides assistance to management in the implementation of organization decisions, which may include writing policy statements and generating customized reports.
10. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Bachelors and 5 years of experience.
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.
