As a Site Network Services SME, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Technical leadership role reporting to the Site Network Services Team Leader. Subject Matter Expert (SME) focussed on one or more technologies and related site network services: Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless, Wide Area Network (WAN), Voice and Contact Centre (VoIP), DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management (IPAM).


• Collaborate, support and influence strategic managed service partner(s) and vendors. Collaborate with and support Site Network Services team, Network Architect, Cloud, CNF & DC Network team, Network Automation team, Network Security team, Network PMO team, IT Security organisation, Area Infrastructure organisations and other global IT product teams.


• The role of the team includes planning, designing, implementing, managing and supporting technology devices and services alongside strategic managed service partners.


• Individual contributor with self-driven approach for career and skills development and workload prioritisation


• Vendor collaboration including continuous improvement of managed service partners and OEMs


• Technology and Services scope includes one or more of: LAN, Wireless, WAN, VoIP, DNS, DHCP, IPAM


• Contribution to program/project planning, and budget expense information gathering and management activities


• Contribute to technology and service strategy, as part of an overall roadmap led by the Network Architect


• Compliance to service level targets, hardware and code lifecycle, vulnerability remediation

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of seven (7) years of network and/or design experience in a private, public, government or military environment 

OR

• High School Diploma, GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of twelve (12) years of of network and/or design experience in a private, public, government or military environment 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Broad network knowledge, with depth in one or more focus areas: LAN, Wireless, WAN, VoIP, DNS, DHCP, IPAM


• Aptitude and interest to develop skills in focus area(s)


• Strong collaboration and communication skills


• Aptitude for technical leadership


• Attention to detail.


• Professional approach


• Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset


• Logical reasoning and information-driven decision-making approach.


• Demonstrated levels of autonomy and independence


• Strong trouble-shooting skills, complex incident management response, demonstrated experience of problem and root-cause investigation.

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $137,439 - $167,981, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
