i3 is seeking a Mission Planner for the ER-2 program. This position will specifically assist the ER-2 program with developing a strategy for sustainment of the ER-2 Program. This will be a part-time temporary-on-call position located at Edwards AFB, CA.
Pay Range $130,000-$150,000.
The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, geographic location, and any applicable laws.
Responsibilities
Assist the ER-2 Chief Pilot with the following duties:
Support NASA in developing and executing the strategy for Sustainment of the ER-2 Program
Work with the ER-2 Sustainment Team to develop technical and programmatic options
Provide guidance and strategic input to assist in assessing options and decision making
Assist NASA in developing documentation, briefings, and technical information required to obtain approval and execute the program
Engage with USAF Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Program Division (Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)/WIAU) to gather information required to formulate the sustainment strategy
Engage with Lockheed Martin (U-2 Division) to gather information required to formulate the sustainment strategy
Engage with ER-2 and U-2 support vendors (fuel, suits, canopy, etc.) to gather information required to formulate the sustainment strategy
Qualifications
Subject Matter Expert (U-2 Division) with 20+ years of U-2 technical, programmatic and sustainment experience
Extensive experience working with U-2 sub-contractors and vendors
Extensive experience working with USAF U-2 System Program Office and other government support entities
Knowledgeable of the NASA ER-2 Program and technical differences between U-2 and ER-2 aircraft
U.S. citizenship is required
