The DECODE LAB group (Dr. Hernan and Dr Scott) at Nemours seeks a motivated Research Assistant I to conduct research for both internally and externally funded projects of interest to the laboratory.
Performs a range of experiments and data analyses under the direction of Principle Investigators or a Research Associate.
May be required to perform experiments during certain weekends or after hours (depending on the need of experiment).
Expertise in 3D printing and design.
Handle, Manage and maintain small animal colony.
Experience in Animal Behavioral experiments and Stereotaxic surgeries.
Assist with maintenance and operations in the laboratory.
Maintains organized and detailed handwritten and computerized records of work performed.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills conducive to working in a team.
Qualifications/ Expected Skills:
Bachelor's degree in basic science
Laboratory management
3D printing and design
Preparation of standard laboratory solutions
