The Zhao Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead research projects under the direction of the group leader/PI
• Collaborate with other research groups on joint projects
• Perform experiments involving DNA and RNA manipulation, cell culture, protein affinity purification, protein biochemical analysis, electron microscopy, computational image processing, and structural analysis
• Present research at internal, local, and external meetings
• Preparing of scientific manuscripts

Education and/or Experience:

• PhD degree with background in biochemistry or structural biology
• Record of scholarly success demonstrated by publications

Other Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

• Expertise in cloning, protein expression, protein purification, and protein analysis
• Experience with protein structure is preferred but not required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervision of graduate students or research/lab assistants may be required

Compensation:

• The expected Hiring Range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 commensurate with skills and experience.
