Job Description:

Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a critical role in managing the company's accounts payable process. This individual will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.



Responsibilities:



  • Process a high volume of vendor invoices in an accurate and timely manner

  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts, ensuring accuracy and completeness

  • Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies

  • Communicate with vendors to address billing inquiries and resolve payment issues

  • Prepare and process electronic payments, including ACH transfers and wire transfers

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and records

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or Controller


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices
