Job Summary: The Entry-Level Accounting Clerk will provide essential support to the accounting department in various administrative and clerical tasks. This individual will assist with data entry, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities:
Assist with data entry and maintenance of accounting records in the general ledger
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including matching invoices with purchase orders and receipts
Prepare and distribute invoices to customers and vendors
Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis
Maintain organized and accurate accounting files and records
Provide support to the accounting team on ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Some prior experience in an office environment or accounting-related role preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and grow in the field of accounting
