Job Summary

We are looking for a Public Relations Manager (PR Manager) to lead the planning, collaboration, execution and measurement of PR & Media Relations Campaigns and events with the goal of building and enhancing favorable brand awareness in the region. This position will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of PR activities including media relations; interview pitching, preparation, and management; issues management, influencer engagement, thought leadership and external events leveraging earned and owned channels. This position will also localize and execute division and companywide PR strategies in partnership with local business partners (e.g. Marketing and Government Relations) while serving as a regional PR contact and spokesperson.

Core Responsibilities


  • Actively developing and cultivating regional media and influencer relationships

  • Coordinating and managing public relations activities including press announcements, media briefings, interview pitching and prep, and external events.

  • Developing content to support external storytelling efforts.

  • Serving as the primary regional spokesperson for the company

  • Identifying and secure sponsorship, awards and thought leadership opportunities.

  • Ensuring that the company communicates effectively with its employees and the efforts to grow employee ambassadorship.

  • Localizing and coordinating regional public relations activities in partnership with division and national communications teams and key business partners

  • Proactively identifying opportunities to increase band awareness in support of our business priorities.

  • Managing local issues in partnership with division and national communications teams

  • Partnering with local and division communications partners to monitor and measure performance.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations or a relevant field (advanced degree desirable)

  • 5+ years experience in Public Relations management

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with traditional and new media strategies / tactics

  • Issues management experience strongly preferred.
